Fans are exciting about Stacey's possible romantic storyline
EASTENDERS fans are utterly convinced they have worked out a major affair after spotting a charged moment between two characters tonight.
Walford is well-known for its explosive affairs the most notable being Stacey Slater and her father-in-law Max Branning.
The affair reveal caused chaos at Christmas in Albert Square and has never been forgotten and now it looks like Stacey’s set to bag another Branning.
In tonight’s episode Stacey asked Jack Branning for help with babysitting their mutual granddaughter Charli.
But as Jack struggled to settle the little one, he called Stacey for help and she rushed over.
As she settled the baby, Jack and Stacey brushed hands and held position for a bit too long – and both noticed.
They only snapped out of it when Jack’s wife Denise arrived home unexpectedly from her holiday.
She was completely unaware of what was seemingly going on under her nose – and then got distracted when Sam Mitchell let herself in.
But fans are now convinced Stacey and Jack will have a passionate affair.
And with the upcoming return of Jack’s daughter Penny and his niece Lauren, they think it’s going to be explosive.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: “The sparks are definitely flying between Jack and Stacey. I knew this was going to happen and I predicted it a few weeks back.”
Another said: “A Jack and Stacey affair is definitely coming and I’m here for it.”
A third added: “Jack and Stacey?!? I’m calling it, you see the look they gave each other.”
“Jack and Stacey, I’m here for it,” said a fourth viewer, shipping the potential TV couple who they dubbed “Jacey.”
But another soap fan was not so keen at the prospect of the affair storyline.
“Making Jack and Stacey have a frisson is giving me the full body heebie jeebies,” they said.
Another said it was “wrong” to give Stacey this storyline since she had a relationship with Max.
