EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw revealed in a recent media interaction that fans can expect a huge Branning family reunion in Walford. This statement has arrived hot on the heels of Jacqueline Jossa’s return to the BBC One soap as Lauren Branning. The spoilers revealed that Lauren is making a rather permanent return to Walford to take center spot for some major Branning family drama!
But how much drama could the makers really spin around just two family member on EastEnders – Lauren and Jack Branning. Thus, it was almost inevitable that more Brannings would soon return to the fold. The speculation was also proven correct when news broke out that Peggy was returning too. For the unversed, she is Jack’s estranged daughter. Now, rumors are rife that Max Branning is coming home to Albert Square!
The last time we saw Max on EastEnders was back in February, 2021. However, the character then fell off the canvas when actor Jake Wood exited. The seasoned actor had played Max on the BBC One soap for 15 long years. He has been nothing short of an icon for the soap. So, if you too, have been missing him on the screen, brace up! The actor’s socials are dropping hints of his possible return to the fold!
Is Max Branning Back On EastEnders?
Jake Wood recently posted a picture of himself with actor Scott Maslen, who plays his on-screen brother -Jack on EastEnders. One glance at the picture, and many fans easily guessed that the snapshot was clicked right on the sets of the BBC One soap. Honestly, Max’s return has been long-due on the soap. Now, with so many of the Brannings coming home, it would be the perfect time for him to return.
Many fans are speculating that even if Jake Wood is not returning full time, he could still make a special appearance. Especially, with the mega Christmas story right around the corner! However, there is no solid foundation to this speculations, sparing the backstage photo. Moreover, Jake had previously told the media that he has no immediate intentions of returning to EastEnders.
