EastEnders’ Jamie Borthwick sparks rumours he’s dating co-star as he cosies up to ‘Lola lookalike’ actress
EASTENDERS star Jamie Borthwick has sparked rumours that he’s dating his co-star after they were pictured looking cosy.
The actor – who plays Jay Brown on the BBC One soap – shared a sweet photo alongside actress Jazzy Phoenix, who plays sex worker Nadine.
TV favourite Jamie, 29, looked in good spirits as he posed for a mirror selfie alongside the stunning blonde.
Jazzy, 23, looked comfortable as she rested her head on his shoulder while Jamie took the snap.
The picture has got fans talking, with some convinced that this is more than just an on-screen romance.
One wrote: “They would make a great couple,” while another posted: “Are they an item?”
Over in Albert Square, things have been far from smooth sailing for the car salesman.
Jay has been struggling for the past few months since Lola tragically died from a brain tumour.
Last month he met Lola lookalike Nadine but it emerged that she was a sex worker, for hire.
And while Jay didn’t want to have sex with her, he did really want to sleep with her. Or at least next to her.
For the past few weeks he has been paying Nadine so she can sleep in her bed and feel as if he’s close to Lola again.
But last month Callum Highway discovered he was spending his nights with sex worker Nadine and confronted them both.
He told Jay that he needed to find another way to cope because it wasn’t fair what he was doing to Lexie.
But when Nadine told Jay they needed to stop, he begged her for some of her drugs to make him numb and able to sleep.
Now viewers are terrified that Jay has become addicted and will lose everything.
