EastEnders’ Keanu’s fate ‘sealed’ as soap drops new Christmas bombshell clue

As the Christmas murder plot unfolds, it’s starting to look as if Keanu will be the dead body sprawled on the floor in the Queen Vic as the BBC soap drops a huge hint.

Viewers have seen Keanu’s mum Karen heavily encourage her son to marry Sharon. And this was to ensure that he took her fortune but at the time, Keanu, who is the father of Sharon’s child Albie, was adament that he didn’t want her money. All he wanted was a relationship with his son.

Meanwhile, as Keanu ponders over his mother’s insistence, Sharon has a heart to heart with Kathy Beale and tells her that she still had strong feeling for her ex beau.

She also revealed that she had cried herself to sleep every night since their split. But things soon take a dark turn as Keanu changes his mind in implementing his trecherous plot after Sharon makes it perfectly clear that she is still planning to move abroad with their son for a year.

And Keanu is furious, to the point where he storms back home and informs his mum that he’s prepared to go through with their plan. Unbeknown to Sharon of Keanu’s scheme, he then pops into the Boxing Den and decides to tell her that George had discovered that Dorian had fixed the boxing match, which has now made Sharon question the reliability of her job in Abu Dhabi.

But as he reveals the news, he’s also cosying up to her in the hope that she will trust him and change her mind. Deciding to not leave anything to chance, Keanu then tells her that he regrets breaking up with her and they begin to share an emotional moment as she starts to let her guard down.

But this could spell the end for Keanu, because in the teaser clips, Sharon is seen wearing a wedding dress while staring at the dead body. And lets not forget that Karen is leaving the BBC soap, which could make for a perfect exit storyline.

Karen, played by Lorraine Stanley, was given the news that her character has been axed in August this year. Speaking to The Sun, when asked if she would join a rival soap she said:”I think it would have to be Corrie and I would have to be the new landlady.” Explaining how she wanted her character to be remembered, she added: “I just want people to remember her as the best mum on the square, a heart of gold, she’s give you her last fiver and would do anything for her kids – a bit like myself.”

Lorraine took to her Instagram account to announce the news of her shock exit to her fans. She wrote: “Hey everyone! I’m so grateful for all of your lovely messages this past week. Thank you to Daran Little for creating the Taylors and to the BBC for giving me the opportunity to play such a fabulous character, I’ll be sad to be saying goodbye to Karen Taylor and will miss all the cast and crew at EastEnders.”

She added: “However I’m looking forward to my next chapter and excited about being a jobbing Actor again & starting new ventures.Again your kind words of support have been amazing!!! I’m going to miss my Taylor/Baker famalam Clair Norris, Danny Walters, Roger Griffiths and Matthew Morrison. Much love.” [sic]
