EastEnders fans reckon the square could be welcoming back Little Mo after Freddie Slater found himself arrested.

In Wednesday’s episode (October 4) Little Mo’s son Freddie was left reeling after he beat stalker Theo with an iron. He had walked in on Theo trying to rape Stacey and lashed out in defence of her – leaving the bad guy bleeding and unconscious.

With the help of Eve, the trio then came up with a plan that involved making Freddie’s attack look more like self defence as well as planting a weapon on Theo’s lifeless body. After calling the ambulance, the cops swiftly arrived.

Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Surely they’ll have to bring Little Mo back now!” Someone else mused: “I really hope we do get a little mo cameo or guest appearance considering what poor Freddie is going through.”

A third chimed in and quipped: “Tomorrow would be the perfect time for Little Mo to return.” Another viewer said: “She’s the one missing piece from this otherwise really terrific storyline.”

Soap fans will know that Mo (Kacey Ainsworth) hasn’t been seen in Albert Square since 2006. The actress has since gone on to star in a number of theatre and TV roles.

The BBC soap’s executive producer Chris Clenshaw confirmed the door is open for the character to return during an appearance on Loose Women in February. He told the panel: “Freddie is in the show, so there’s every chance that Little Mo could pop back to Walford.”

While in February, Kacey was quizzed by the Loose Women panel on her possible return to the show. Coleen Nolan pressed: “We have to ask you about EastEnders because obviously you left in a taxi with your baby, your baby is now back!”

Kacey exclaimed: “My baby is back, isn’t my baby is doing well, isn’t my baby doing well! He’s settled in brilliantly, isn’t he lovely!”

Coleen went on: “Of course, everyone then goes ‘Oh is Mo coming back, is little Mo coming back?’.” The BBC star explained: “Well I have to take you to task because you gave me a lot of heat… my phone was going ding ding! It is always the same thing, it’s a never say never but I literally don’t have any time at the moment but…”

However, despite the attempts to make him look innocent Freddie was arrested for attempted murder. And now fans reckon his mum Little Mo could be making a return.
