TV season & Spoilers has been extensively reporting each and every detail related to EastEnders icon Lorraine Stanley’s exit from the BBC One soap. As we mentioned earlier, her character – Karen Taylor is being written off from the soap after a very successful run. Lorraine won immense praise and love from her fans over the years for her impeccable portrayal. Thus, it did come as a huge and unexpected shock when the news first broke out.
However, the makers justified the decision by stating that it was unavoidable for EastEnders. They needed to write Karen off as a much needed shake up for the casting on the soap. Despite the fact that Lorraine has already filmed her final scenes as Karen. Her exit storyline is still well under wraps. Until recently many fans though she would perhaps breathe her last on the soap.
But Lorraine debunked that as an option. She claimed on her social media that she would never forgive the makers if they killed Karen on EastEnders. This statement really went a long way in alleviating fans, who did not want Karen to meet her end. An exit alive would mean that she could still return at some point.
Lorraine’s Message To Her EastEnders Fandom
Now, The EastEnders star has posted yet another message on her social media, ahead of her impending exit from the soap. However, this time it is no cheeky retort. In fact, Lorraine has whole heartedly thanked her fans for the love they have been showering her with. As it turns out, owing to her upcoming exit, fans have been bombarding her with messages.
Admitting that it is quite hard to reply to each of them, the EastEnders icon chose to post a story to acknowledge all the love her fans are sending her way. ” I hear ya,” she wrote on her Instagram story. Further stating that it is hard for her to personally reply to every single message. However, she assured her fans that she is reading all their messages. “They really do mean a lot,” she thanked them.
Back in August, 2023, Lorraine had confirmed her exit from EastEnders after playing Karen for six long years. ” I’ll be sad to be saying goodbye to Karen Taylor and will miss all the cast and crew,” she wrote. Currently, she is embroiled in the fake kidnapping Keanu resorted to with Albie. Although the kid is back home safe, but the secret might not be safe forever. We wonder if the discovery of the ransom money at her home will eventually cause her to flee Walford. Or perhaps a trip to jail.
