EastEnders reveal first look at Halloween storyline as Linda gets shock of her life
BBC have released the first images of EastEnders' annual Halloween bash where Linda Carter is set to get the shock of her life in upcoming scenes ahead of the Christmas death
EastEnders shows off the Queen Vic’s annual Halloween bash as Linda Carter and the Knight family dress up in fitting outfits to treat the residents of Albert Square.
Over previous years, Linda and her husband Mick Carter – who has been presumed dead after he was lost at sea – have made sure every Halloween is one to remember. And, in memory of Mick, this year is no different.
George is seen dressed up as a knight while Linda’s mum Elaine is dressed as a glamorous looking witch. However, Elaine doesn’t look as though she’s having the time of her life if her expression is anything to go by, following a conversation with Linda, played by Kellie Bright.

According to Metro online, Linda has been dealt a blow which proves to be more scary than any ghost and this plays into the BBC show’s major Christmas storyline. EastEnders producer Chris Clenshaw recently hinted that a huge twist is set to unfold for Linda during the episodes.
Viewers have been wondering why Linda hasn’t been her usual bubbly self but as Christmas draws closer, Linda’s sudden quiet nature will start to make sense. The Christmas storyline will see six of Walford’s iconic women responsible for the death of a mystery victim and this includes Sharon Watts, Kathy Beale, Denise Fox, Stacey Slater and Suki Panesar.
Members of the plot have been involved in their own individual storylines as Sharon in particular is set to realise Keanu’s revenge plot as he attempts to steal her fortune – after she revealed that she was leaving Walford for a year and taking their son with her to Abu Dhabi.

EastEnders have been remaining silent over what the bombshell is that is about to rock Linda’s world – leaving many to believe that it will be the return of Dean Wicks. Dean, played by Matt Di Angelo, was shunned from Albert Square after he raped landlady Linda – causing her to spiral into alcoholism as she struggled to deal with the trauma of the attack.
But other theories include Mick Carter returning after he’s believed to be dead. Meanwhile fans have also suspected that Janine Butcher could be released early from prison, or it may also be the sudden return of Max Branning, who is the father to Linda’s daughter Annie.
Speaking of Linda’s upcoming storyline, Chris told Inside Soap magazine earlier this month: “Poor Linda’s struggling this Halloween as it’s the first one without Mick. Obviously she wasn’t with Mick this time last year, but Halloween was very much their thing, and something they did together in the Vic. So, she’s trying her best to make a go of things, but she gets one hell of a surprise that she doesn’t bargain for…”
And Kellie Bright told Radio Times of the Dean rumours: “I’d be totally up for him coming back as it creates drama and story. Linda has processed the rape and managed to get on with her life pretty well, [though] it has come out in other ways like her alcoholism. But she’s okay because Dean’s not there. If he suddenly walked through the door, it would be very confronting. I wonder what that would do to her.”
