David furrowed his brow and added a pair of devilish horns as well as love hearts onto the picture as Shona pouted.

He wrote: “Family time and our first flight together.”

Shona shared the image to her story and added the words “my family”, along with a love heart emoji.

Friends and followers left supportive comments on David’s page with one writing: “Have a lovely time.”

Another said: “Gorgeous photo, such a lovely lad David delighted to see you so happy.”

A third person posted: “Have a wonderful time! Can’t wait see you both.”

The smitten couple teamed up for a sweet music video last week that saw David strumming his guitar and Shona playing the harmonica.

The actress previously impressed fans with her stunning singing voice but her command of the mouthpiece surprised them.

David said to the camera: “Bet you didn’t know she could do that?”

Shona recently explained her decision to leave EastEnders having played Whitney Dean for 15 years.

“It wasn’t an easy decision because I’ve made so many friends,” she said.

“I’ve seen people come and go, and meanwhile, Whitney has been one of the longest-standing characters.

“I’ve had so much fun and done so many storylines, some of which have been sensitive, and I’ve been honoured to be trusted with such heavy stuff, year after year.”

She added: “So, I’m going to be sad to say goodbye to my friends and family, but it was right decision for me as I want to do other things.

“After 15 years, I’ve had a pretty good run.”
