Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) made a huge decision in EastEnders as she bravely came out to her family, friends and neighbours, confirming speculation that she’s in a relationship with Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).
The matriarch had a lot on her mind in the wake of assisting five fellow women in covering up Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder but, with Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) asking questions, she decided it was time to reveal all.
In powerful scenes, Suki told Nugget about her relationship with Eve. To her surprise, he took the news incredibly well. The fact that she was set to up sticks and leave was what upset him but not the truth about her relationship.
Eve, meanwhile, approached Suki in the Minute Mart for an update, with Suki revealing that she had confided in Nugget.
Nugget subsequently arrived and proved incredibly supportive once more, but their conversation was overheard by Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), who later relayed news off Suki and Eve’s relationship to her family.
Speculation was rife in subsequent scenes, with everyone talking in the Vic. Fed up of the gossip, Suki bravely confronted her neighbours and took Eve’s hand, confirming that they’re in a relationship.
The matriarch, however, soon had other things to think about when she was summoned to the barrel store of the Vic for the second time during the episode in question, with Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) confirming that Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) is set to become something of a liability.
Rocky, as viewers know, witnessed Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) entering the cafe on Christmas night. He also saw Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) running across the Square with a tarpaulin in hand.
With The Six having covered up a murder on the evening in question, will they be left having to face serious questions from the police due to Rocky’s meddling?
Or will Kathy be forced to ensure that Rocky stays out of the situation by taking shocking action?
