Denise Fox (Diane Parish) isn’t happy in EastEnders soon as she returns home to see Jack Branning’s (Scott Maslen) ex is living with them.
Denise has been away on holiday for a few weeks which means she hasn’t been around for the return of Dean (Matt Di Angelo) and Sam (Kim Medcalf).
While Jack’s been on his own, he’s been spending a lot of time with Stacey (Lacey Turner) and in upcoming episodes, they hang out again when Jack asks her for help with babysitting duties.
In the week, Denise arrives home and is keen to get the Walford gossip but before Jack can reveal that Sam is staying with them, she bursts in, leaving Denise disgusted.
Jack then launches a charm offensive on Denise to get her to forgive him over the Sam debacle, but the couple fall out again when Denise discovers Dean is back and Jack never told her.
Later, after getting support from Stacey, Jack returns to the house to see an angry Denise who says that if Sam doesn’t move out, she will.
As the week draws to a close, Sam tells Jack that she understands she can’t stay and admits Denise is a good woman because not many people would’ve taken on his troubled children.
Just as Jack shows Sam out, he sees Ravi (Aaron Thiara) mouthing off at Denise.
The couple manage to reconcile but it’s clear they are uneasy around each other, so what will the future look like for them?
