EastEnders spoilers: Hearts on the line as Cindy Beale manipulates Peter Beale against Lauren Branning
Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) has only just returned to her children’s lives in EastEnders, but already she’s meddling in their relationships.
Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) got off to a bad start with Cindy after meeting her in a hospital in France, following Ian Beale’s (Adam Woodyatt) heart attack.
Her disgust at Cindy’s decision to choose herself over her family and go into witness protection was evident, and her anger at Peter Beale (Thomas Law) for keeping the truth from her saw the end of any chances of them getting back together.
Since Lauren’s return to Walford, she has discovered that Peter has been keeping even more huge secrets from her, including the fact that cousin Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) was behind her arrest and that she had another sister on the Square.
Despite her fury, Lauren was convinced by Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russel) to stick around, and soon seemed to warm to Peter once more.
In upcoming scenes, Peter helps Lauren and Penny move into their new flat, and soon the parents are considering the idea of restarting their relationship.
However, when Peter seeks the advice of dad Ian, he is unaware that Cindy has overheard, and has her own opinions of a potential relationship with Lauren.
Unable to trust Lauren, Cindy tracks her down and encourages her to rethink starting a new relationship with Peter, hoping to protect her son from heartbreak in the future.
Will Lauren take Cindy’s advice, or are Lauren and Peter set to begin again?
