The Six have been struggling to live with the guilt of covering up Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder in EastEnders, but things are about to get a lot harder when he makes a shocking return.

Keanu was stabbed to death by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) on Christmas Day, and The Six subsequently agreed to cover it up by burying him in the café.

However, once the concrete had set over his grave, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) realised that her iconic ‘D’ necklace had been buried with him, and soon she began to spiral.

As the pressure continues to mount in upcoming scenes, things will only get worse for The Six, as they try desperately to hold themselves, and each other, together.

On the morning the café is due to reopen, things get off to a rocky start for Nish Panesar and Kat Slater (Navin Chowdhry and Jessie Wallace) when they realise there has been a leak.

Kathy Beale and Stacey Slater (Gillian Taylforth and Lacey Turner) are horrified when they overhear them discussing the damp floor, as Nish laments that it may need replacing.

Terrified, they call the women to a crisis meeting at No.31 as they try to work out the best way to proceed.

Denise, who already has it in the back of her mind that confessing may be the only option, soon seeks solace from Pastor Clayton, who advises her to unburden herself of her inner torment.

Armed with his advice, Denise sits down to write a letter to husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), though her torment is far from over.

With the events of Christmas Day weighing heavy on her, Denise ends up hallucinating dead Keanu, as her grip on reality slips even further.

With the return of Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) also set to rock The Six, not to mention Linda’s continuing struggle with her drinking, will Denise’s struggle be the final straw that leads to their downfall?
