EastEnders spoilers: Jack Branning takes Stacey Slater home as she is hit by a devastating new crisis amid affair fears
Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) proved incredibly supportive towards Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) in EastEnders as she continued to struggle in the wake of her ordeal at Theo Hawthorne’s (William Ellis) hands.
Theo, as fans will know, relentlessly stalked Stacey for several months, making her life a living hell before attempting to rape her in her own kitchen after he broke into her home.
Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) came to her defence and attacked Theo, with Stacey assisting him in planting a wrench in the creep’s hand in a bid to make it look like he was planning to attack them.
The nightmare came to an end earlier this week when Stacey met with unhinged Theo and told him that if he pled guilty then they’d be able to be together. Theo bought into her claim and thus pleaded guilty, meaning that he’s facing a hefty sentence for the terror he inflicted.
Stacey, however, didn’t particularly feel like celebrating, with Theo’s actions still impacting her mental health.
Jack received a call from a drunk Stacey during Wednesday’s (November 29) edition of the BBC One soap and thus he headed to the allotment to check in on her.
Stacey opened up about the impact Theo’s reign of terror has had on her, revealing that she still doesn’t believe it’s at an end.
She refused to go home, not wanting Lily (Lillia Turner) to see her like that and thus Jack decided to take her home to his place.
Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) was less than pleased about such a thing and started to berate him, but Jack clapped back, reminding her that she’s not exactly in the best position to be criticising others’ parenting skills.
Stacey overheard the conversation and was taken aback by Jack’s kind words about her ability as a mother, with the two sharing something of a heart-to-heart, which ended with Stacey coming clean about how she and Freddie put the wrench in Theo’s hand and lied to the police about it!
What will Jack do with this information? Will he prove to be her knight in shining armour?
We’ll just have to wait and see but with fans wondering if the two will embark on an affair, it’s safe to assume that all eyes will be on this story to see how it plays out.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
