Jade Masood (Elizabeth Green), Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) daughter, finds herself a new friend in upcoming EastEnders episodes.

Jade’s mother, Shabnam, gave birth to her after a one-night stand with Dean. Originally named Roya, being fostered saw the young girl’s name changed to Jade.

She made a return a few weeks ago following the reveal she was waiting for a transplant at a local hospital. It then became apparent Jade had no idea about her dad’s past and left shortly after Linda (Kellie Bright) confirmed he had raped her.

Next week, Jade spends time in Albert Square and gets talking to Jean Slater (Gillian Wright). They bond and hang out, which pleases a manipulative Dean.

Later in the week, Jean pops to see Jade and brings her some cake. When she arrives, she makes it clear to Dean that she’s doing this for Shabnam and Shirley (Linda Henry), not him.

Jean clearly wants to make Jade feel at home in Walford, but will Dean use this to his advantage?

Last October, when Dean returned to Walford, he revealed some news about his mum, who hasn’t been seen since the end of 2022.

Dean said that Shirl struggled with her mental health following Mick’s vanishing, which suggested that he used her vulnerability to worm his way back in.

Linda, however, was still sceptical, asking what Shirl’s official diagnosis was, but Dean refused to answer her, proving evasive.

But was Dean telling the truth?
