EastEnders spoilers: Karen takes her revenge as she twists the knife in Phil during dramatic comeback
There’s a huge shock in EastEnders next week as Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) makes her much anticipated return to Albert Square, immediately coming to blows with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
As viewers will remember, Karen fled with her family to Spain to escape the 50k debt she owed to Phil. The money was coughed up during a search to find his son Albie, who had gone missing following a fake kidnap plot masterminded by Karen and Keanu. At that point Keanu still believed the boy was his own flesh and blood.
Pictures from next week’s dramatic episodes show Karen’s return and reunion with daughter Bernie (Clair Norris), and also her walking straight into Phil’s warpath.
Clashing with Nish Panesar (Navan Chowdhry) in the refurbished café, unaware that Keanu is buried beneath the floor, Karen then quizzes Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) over his disappearance and their involvement in the night he went ‘missing’.
Concerned that Karen could threaten their freedom, Kathy takes a bold move to call the police to report her involvement in Albie’s staged kidnapping.
More fearful than ever for his finances after dishing out £33,000 to sister Sam (Kim Medical) last month, and concerned about what he may lose in his divorce settlement with wife Kat (Jessie Wallace), Phil demands his money back from Karen.
She’s quick to assert that she won’t be paying up and makes jibes about his family falling apart in the wake of his affair with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit) and how cosy Kat looks in her new relationship with Nish.
Furious with how Karen has spoken to him, Phil turns to Kathy for advice. But will he support her call to the authorities, and how will he plan to get his revenge?
