EastEnders spoilers: Keanu and Sharon passionately reunite after child kidnap ordeal reaches emotional climax
Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) has been completely beside herself in recent EastEnders episodes after being led to believe that son Albie had been kidnapped.
Viewers know that it was actually Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) who was behind Albie’s disappearance, fabricating the kidnap lie in order to cover up his failed plan to take Albie out of the country.
In the most recent instalment of the BBC soap, Sharon’s ordeal came to an emotional end as she was finally reunited with her beloved son, after a tense deliberation over who should be the one to face the kidnappers.
Knowing that Albie hadn’t been kidnapped at all, Keanu pushed for mum Karen (Lorraine Stanley) to be the one to collect him, claiming it was because the police wouldn’t suspect anything if she left.
Of course, his real reason for sending Karen was that she was in on the plan, and knew that Albie was safe with her brother in law, Malcolm.
Thankfully, Sharon was soon reunited with her beloved son, though the police were full of questions for a nervous Karen.
When they asked to take Albie for a video interview, Sharon refused, leaving Keanu and Karen letting out a sigh of relief.
With Albie home safe, the house soon emptied, leaving Sharon and Keanu alone together with Albie for the first time in a while.
As they reflected on the ordeal of the previous couple of days, Keanu begged Sharon not to take his son away to Abu Dhabi, insisting that he couldn’t be without him, or her.
Sharon was quick to admit that she had decided not to take the job in Abu Dhabi, as this ordeal had proven to her that she needed the support network she has in Albert Square.
She apologised for even considering taking Albie away, as it was clear how much Keanu loved him, though Keanu revealed that it wasn’t just him that he loved.
As Keanu confessed that he was still in love with her, Sharon kissed him.
With the pair locked in a tight hug, it was clear that Keanu felt guilty about what he had done.
