EastEnders spoilers: Killer Linda Carter falls apart as she’s dealt another devastating blow
Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) problems go from bad to worse in EastEnders next month as the revelation of a big secret that she’s guarded with her life threatens to scupper everything.
The Queen Vic landlady, as fans know, is seriously struggling right now after she murdered violent Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) over the festive season in a bid to protect Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
Sharon decided to help her cover up the crime and, with some assistance from Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), they disposed of Keanu’s body in the cafe.
Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) sniffing about caused concern but the bigger issue comes later this month when renovation work commences on the cafe, just as Linda arrives back in the Square following a short break away.
Suki does her best to stall the workmen but Linda struggles to cope with the thought of their secret being outed as she very publicly begins to fall apart.
Stacey offers her support, taking her back to hers where she reiterates that if Linda doesn’t stay off the booze and stay alert then they could all go to prison.

Suki, meanwhile, manages to convince the builders to stand down for now but, with time running out, The Six decide that they must move the body, otherwise their secret will be exposed.
Despite the prospect of being found out, Linda soon has other things on her mind as Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), who arrives back in the Square in upcoming scenes, is told by Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) that she has a secret sister in Walford!
Horrified, Lauren makes a beeline for The Vic, where she confronts Linda over Annie, demanding to know the reason why the landlady never told her that she had sister.
Linda, as viewers will recall, had a totally out-of-character affair with Max (Jake Wood), Lauren’s father, a number of years ago, with Annie having been born a number of months afterwards.
But how will Linda react to Lauren’s confrontation?
That remains to be seen, but her focus soon shifts back to disposing of Keanu’s body and all of this leads her back to the booze, much to Denise’s dismay.
Kathy intervenes to prevent a row from breaking out and, soon enough, The Six meet to put their plan into action.
But how will Linda process these two shocks, all the while still coming to terms with the fact that rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) is walking free around the Square?
One to watch: Monday January 8 at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
