EastEnders spoilers: Panic for The Six as Nish Panesar’s future is confirmed
This article contains spoilers for Monday’s (January 8) EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
The Six were left in a state of panic in recent EastEnders scenes, after builders arrived to start work on the cafe, and things only got worse when Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) received a call from the hospital…
Viewers will know that, following Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) on Christmas Day, The Six worked together to hide his body in the rubble of the burnt out cafe.
With new owner Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) in intensive care, it seemed like a safe option, though the women were soon proved wrong when builders arrived to start renovation works.
As Linda arrived back in Albert Square after a trip to visit son Lee, she was horrified to spot the builders, and soon Suki and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) were on the case.
After successfully holding the builders off, Suki rushed home to find out why they had wanted to start work so soon, and realised that son Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) had called them.
She was quick to head back to the cafe and send the builders packing, though they revealed that they wouldn’t be able to hold off the work for more than a couple of days.
With the builders gone – for now – The Six were forced into yet another crisis meeting.
With Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) trying to support Linda elsewhere, the remaining members of The Six gathered in Denise Fox’s living room, where Suki explained the situation.
Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was horrified when Suki demanded that all six of them go into the cafe, confiding in Kathy that she was already seeing Keanu everywhere, and that she couldn’t handle what he might look like now.
It was then that their talks were interrupted by a phone call from the hospital, who informed Suki that Nish had woken up.
While Denise was thrilled at first, Suki was filled with dread, and it soon became clear why.
Denise pointed out that they now had only one murder on their hands, instead of the two they were potentially faced with, though Suki revealed that Nish may remember everything, meaning that their whole plan would be foiled.
