Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) has held it together pretty well since rescuscitating evil husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) in EastEnders, but now she faces a dangerous threat.
Having brought him back from the dead after Denise Fox (Diane Parish) whacked him with a champagne bottle in epic Christmas scenes, the infamous Six were hoping he might never wake up, but in true Terminator style, Nish is back.
Now he’s carrying on with plans to turn the cafe – which he got his hands on after Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) agreed to sell it to him – into flats, and as viewers know, something is lurking under the rubble-strewn floor.
The Six matriarchs – Suki, Kathy, Denise, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) – now face a massive battle to keep their secret.
They decided to stash Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) body under the burned-out cafe’s floor, after Linda forked him to death in the Vic to stop him strangling best mate Sharon.
Suki and Kathy then persuaded the builders to down tools at the cafe for a while, but now the work is continuing.
And with alcoholic Linda now firmly back on the booze, and struggling to cope with killing Keanu – let alone having her rapist Dean Wicks (Matt di Angelo) back in Albert Square – they’ve got their work cut out to stop her revealing all.
In upcoming scenes, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) announces that the builders may have to re-lay the entire foundations of the cafe to turn it into flats.
That, of course, is where Keanu’s corpse was buried under planks of wood and rubble – but after the Six put their plan to shift the body into action, Denise made a mistake that could cost them everything.
Now, with the news from Priya, a spooked Suki heads to number 41 to try and persuade Nish to reconsider his plans.
Given that she’s now living with her soul mate – and his arch-enemy – Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), she’s not hopeful he’ll play ball.
To Suki’s surprise, Nish agrees.
But the biggest shock happens when Denise turns up.
Will their decision to hide Keanu’s corpse in the cafe still come back to haunt them?
Could the truth finally come out about what the Six have done?
