When Eddie and Gloria gave him a big New Year surprise, George was taken aback. His parents revealed that they adopted George via a process called child farming. In the process, babies are sold to parents looking for a child. Moreover, they told George that he was of Jamaican descent. However, his beliefs were shaken when he and Cindy worked out that baby farming was common among Africans at the time. George’s doubts compelled Gloria to spill the beans of his origin, and she later confirmed that he had never been a Jamaican.
That’s not all! Gloria and Eddie are still hiding something from him. The tension is only escalating as Eddie’s racist beliefs are gradually getting uncovered. George Knight’s story will compel him to question the identity his folks handed him since childhood. He’ll be left to contemplate as he digs into the real deal behind his adoption. In addition, Chris emphasised the authenticity of this delicate plotline. Clenshaw expressed, “It was imperative that we worked with experts and people with lived experience of farming.” It ensures that “the storyline is handled as sensitively and as accurately as possible.”
