EastEnders star Navin Chowdhry warns scammer trying to steal his identity
EastEnders star Navin Chowdhry urged his social media followers to block a fake account claiming to be run by him.
The Nish Panesar actor, 52, shared a screenshot of a fake Instagram account pretending to be Navin’s private page.
However, he took to Instagram Stories and insisted: ‘Not me. Please block.’
This comes after the soap star shared his wife’s important milestone during breast cancer awareness month a few weeks back.
Navin uploaded a post of a mug with the phrase ‘Straight Outta Chemo’ – a reference to 2015 film Straight Outta Compton – marking two years since his wife ‘lifted the cup’.
‘2 years ago. Mrs C lifted the cup! All my love to all the cancer warriors out there. Cancer awareness does not end in October,’ he penned beneath the post.
Navin and Mrs C, as he affectionately calls her, have been married for 12 years, and share two children.
Earlier this year, she underwent surgery for breast cancer, which Navin revealed in an emotional video on Instagram – during which he reflected on his wife’s journey and shared his best wishes to all ‘cancer warriors’.
Navin’s EastEnders character, Nish, was recently embroiled in a big storyline that saw the Panesar family take centre stage.
Viewers know that Nish’s son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) was responsible for killing Ranveer, though he is trying his best to keep that fact hidden.
When Denise Fox (Diane Parish) uncovered footage of the murder, she confronted the Panesars, and was relieved to discover that Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) believed her.
Unfortunately, Nish took his son’s side, and turned violent when Suki dared to question his innocence.
