Cindy Beale’s return was a welcome shock for the viewers on EastEnders. The 90’s iconic character made a smashing and much fan-fared return to the BBC One soap earlier this year. However, the Walford residents weren’t as welcoming of her as the soap fans were. But then, Condy does end up stirring too many pots to be seen as a happy additions by her fellow-residents. One such pot that was stirred by her return was Anna and Bobby’s budding relationship. Cindy being revealed as Rose Knight changed the whole relationship dynamic for the young lovers.
Anna is Cindy a.k.a. Rose Knight’s daughter with George Knight on EastEnders. Meanwhile, Cindy also is Bobby’s half-brother Peter’s biological mother! Which ends up tying Anna and Bobby in a complicated familial knot. Thus, making a romantic relationship between them rather odd. But does that mean the possibility of them being together is essentially dead? Not really if you ask Anna’s portrayer Molly Rainford. The young soap star admitted to the media that in her opinion a relationship between Anna and Bobby will actually be rather “cute”.
Molly feels that Anna had very quickly realized that she had feelings for Bobby on EastEnders. But the circumstances became hard only because of their “confusing familial ties”. But she also added that even though it is hard it would be cute if they can actually take a go at it. Having said that, Molly threw in another possibility of an equally complicated romance. A one with Bobby’s best pal. “Freddie is the obvious guy for her to go for,” she mused. In fact, right before Freddie’s temporary exit from the soap, the two of them had a little fling.
But despite the sparks between Anna and Freddie, Molly is not discounting Bobby’s chances with her character on EastEnders. ” Maybe the underdog will surprise her in the end,” she enthused, cheering a little for Bobby. Speaking further about her character, Molly pointed that there is more to her story than just complicated romances. She added that Anna wants to make things right with her mother. That too, is confusing and complicated for her. Because she wants to stand by her father George, but also wants a relationship with her mother.
Both of which together is rather tricky. However, Molly believes that Anna is still handling it better than her elder sister Gina is.
