2023 has legit been year of comebacks on EastEnders. Amongst all, the two biggest shock returns were that of Cindy Beale and Dean Wicks. But the spree is far from over. We already know that two more prominent characters – Lauren and Penny Branning will soon join the Walford residents. But today, we are reporting a surprise return! When Dean first returned to the square, he revealed that he is back for his daughter.
As it turns out, his and Shabnam Masood’s daughter– Jade is terribly ill on EastEnders. She is hospitalized for fibrosis and is in need of an urgent transplant. Dean insists that he is in Walford only to be close to his daughter and help with all that is necessary, just in case the transplant comes through. Now, the latest spoilers reveal that Jade will be reintroduced on the screen later in December, 2023. Actress Elizabeth Green has been roped in to play the character.
The last time we saw Jade on EastEnders was way back in 2015-16. At the time, actress Amaya Edward was portraying Dean and Shabnam’s daughter. The spoilers reveal that in the episodes yet to air, Jade arrives at the square and befriends Gina Knight after meeting her at the Queen Vic. Later, Dean and Jade visit Shabnam’s son – Zaair’s grave. Where she also reflects on her own illness, and the fact that she requires an urgent lung transplant.
Will Jade and Dean Reconcile as Father and Daughter on EastEnders.
Although, initially, Jade rejects Dean’s attempts to bond with her on EastEnders. She later decides to give her father a chance. As an after thought of her discussion with Gina about absentee parents. However, the reconciliation is short lived, thanks to Dean’s incessant need to torment Linda Carter. He horrifies her by sending her a picture of himself with her little son – Ollie. Linda then supported by Keanu confronts him. Keanu calls him a sexual predator in front of Jade. Horrified, she decides to leave Walford once again.
Will this be the last we see of Jade on EastEnders? Or will Dean manage to convince his daughter for yet another chance? Moreover, we wonder how Dean will react towards Linda after this incident. She better watch her back!
