New spoilers are out for Christmas and New Year for EastEnders. Unfortunately, they suggest some really devastating turn of events for Whitney Dean. The fan-favourite character is no stranger to tragedy, but off-late, things had started to look rather sunny for her. Alas! Good things never last for too long on soaps, do they really? Naah! Good stuff only happens to make way for some new trouble and drama. And that’s exactly what’s in store for Whitney and Zack in the near future.
As fans already know, after the heart-wrenching loss of baby Peach on EastEnders, Whitney made the decision not to try for pregnancy again. Even when her partner Zack tried to convince her to try for another baby with him. She told him that she couldn’t put her body through it all over again. Peach was diagnosed with Edward’s Syndrome while she was still a fetus. Thus, the couple decided to terminate the pregnancy. Whitney gave birth to Peach only to put her to rest.
Later, the couple decided to opt to foster a child instead of giving birth to one on EastEnders. It took Zack some time to come to terms with it, but he eventually did. And in upcoming episodes- that decision brings in a little boy, Ashton, into their lives for Foster care. While Whitney immediately becomes attached to the boy, Zack struggles to form a connection. Unfortunately, the little lad struggles to settle into the household, too. Which forms the crux for Whitney’s next heartbreak.
The Beginning Of The End For Whitney On EastEnders?
The couple soon receives updates from the Fostering department that Ashton is being placed into another Foster home on EastEnders. As expected, Whitney is devastated by the thought of losing the little boy. This creates friction between Whitney and Zack. However, they are interrupted by the social worker who comes to pick up the kid. Later, Whitney reels in her sadness while Zack dr owns his sorrows in alcohol.
The EastEnders spoilers reveal that Whitney goes to the allotment to Peach’s tree, still heavy with grief. There, she meets Yolande, who shares her own fostering experience with her. Moved by the conversation, Whitney makes a huge decision as she returns home. What could this life-changing decision be, and how will it impact Zack? Could this decision be what ultimately takes her away from Walford? We do know that Shona has already filmed her exit from the BBC One soap.
