From prison to serial killing spree: Every possible outcome revealed for The Six after EastEnders’ Christmas murder
Christmas may have come and gone, but this is only the beginning for The Six in EastEnders.
After a ten month build up, we finally learnt that Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) was the man on the floor in the flash forward scene, though in true EastEnders fashion we soon learnt that there was much more to the story and he wasn’t actually dead.
It transpired that the man who would ‘get what he deserved’ was actually Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), who was stabbed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) while attacking Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
Terrified that they would all face repercussions thanks to the law of joint enterprise, The Six agreed to cover up the murder and frame Keanu for the attack on Nish, eventually hiding his body in the burnt out café.
But where will the story go from here?
We have seen The Six struggle to keep it together over the past couple of weeks, and we’re sure the pressure is only going to continue to mount.
With a dead body right on their doorstep and The Six people slowly crumbling, there are countless directions this storyline could go in, and we’re here to lay them all out.
The Six get away with it
Despite the fact that some members of The Six are seriously struggling to keep it together – we’re looking at you, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) – others have thankfully managed to keep a level head.
Honestly, without Suki Panesar’s (Balvinder Sopal) decision making, we’re not sure they would have lasted this long.
If The Six can continue to follow Suki’s lead and stay calm, there is every possibility that they could get away with their crime, with no one suspecting a thing.
Of course, this is EastEnders, so there is bound to be some drama along the way, and probably more than one near miss, but if all six of them stick together, they may well just get away with it.
Prison
On the other hand, panic spreads quickly, and there is every chance level-headed Suki could be influenced by the likes of Kathy and Linda, who clearly are not coping well.
Any tiny slip up could see the whole plan fall apart, and we can’t see the police being lenient on six women who strategically tried to cover up a murder.
On top of that, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has form, and would likely be facing a very, very long sentence for her involvement.
However, sending The Six to prison would mean that EastEnders would lose six of their most prominent matriarchs – a huge loss for fans of the show.
Having said that, Bad Girls style The Six spin off, anyone?
Nish wakes up
Nish is currently in a coma after being smashed over the head with a bottle by Denise Fox (Diane Parish), and at the moment his condition is stable.
However, that could all change in an instant, and if Nish died there would be more blood on the hands of The Six.
Although, that may turn out to be the preferable outcome for them, as the alternative would be Nish waking up and remembering everything.
Viewers will know that The Six launched an attack on him after he attacked Suki, and he had soon been seriously injured.
He then played a significant part in their coverup story, as they told police that Keanu and Nish had argued before Keanu attacked him with a bottle, before holding The Six at knife point in the Vic.
Of course, this wasn’t what really happened, and Nish could easily ruin everything by waking up and telling the police the truth.
However, given that The Six lashed out against him in self defence, it is unlikely that he will want to tell the full truth, in order to protect his reputation.
This doesn’t mean The Six are safe, though, as he could easily hold what he knows over them and use it to his advantage.
Jack finds out
Local detective Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) always seems to muscle in on cases that involve people he knows, so there is every chance he could end up on Keanu’s case.
However, with Jack’s links to Denise and Stacey, this could either work for or against The Six.
With Jack and Denise having hit a rough patch following his one night stand with Stacey, could he end up finding out the truth about the murder and choose to keep it secret in order to get back in Denise’s good books?
It would certainly be an interesting dynamic for the show to explore, given Jack’s role as a respected detective, and given that Jack hasn’t always been on the moral side of the law, there is every possibility that he could deliberately mislead the investigation to help The Six get away with it.
Alternatively, his relationships with both Denise and Stacey could end up breaking down spectacularly, leaving Jack hungry for revenge.
Could he make it his mission to get them sent down and report their crime to the police?
Eve gets involved
Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) recently returned to the Square, and Suki wasted no time in making their relationship public.
We all know that Eve used to be a lawyer, and is particularly close to both Suki and Stacey.
Not only does she know a lot about the law, but we’ve also seen her help Stacey to cover up a crime before, after Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) attacked Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis).
Could this have been foreshadowing Eve learning about Keanu’s murder, and helping The Six cover it up?
We know that Eve is prepared to go to great lengths to protect Stacey and Suki, having disappeared for several weeks in order to protect them from Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) and Nish.
Could she go as far as to cover up a murder?
Rocky blabs
When Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) grew suspicious of The Six after witnessing their Christmas night antics in his drunken state, the women all but bullied Kathy into shopping him to the police for starting the café fire.
While Suki assured her that this was the only way, as he’d be too busy worrying about himself to think about what he had seen, we’re not so sure.
Honestly, we think the only safe option would have been to kill him too.
But alas, Rocky is still living and set to face a lengthy spell behind bars, and while we have no experience of that situation, we’re pretty sure that the one thing prison gives you is a lot of time to think.
What if, once the dust settles and Rocky resigns himself to his fate, he starts thinking about what he saw again, and decides he wants to make a deal with the police by giving them the information?
Also, Keanu’s body is hidden in the very café the police will surely want to investigate following Rocky’s confession.
Could they go in hunting for evidence and end up stumbling across Keanu’s corpse?
Confession
We’ve already discussed the impact this murder has had on The Six, and as time passes we can only imagine the guilt and pressure will get worse.
Could that end up becoming too much for one of them, who decides to confess all to the police, dropping everyone in it?
Kathy and Stacey were both keen to call the police as soon as Keanu had been killed, but the others were quick to stop them.
Likewise, Linda has suggested handing herself in several times, much to the horror of the other five women.
However, could one of them end up deciding that they can’t carry the burden anymore, and decide to confess all?
Serial killing spree
They’ve already killed one person and seriously injured another, so it isn’t outside the realms of possibility for The Six to take more lives.
There is every possibility that, like Rocky, someone ends up remembering seeing them on the fateful night, or happens to stumble across the body in the future.
With no other way of keeping them quiet, could The Six end up killing again to protect their secret?
Not to mention, there are countless other men on the Square that have wronged The Six, and could still be in the running to get what they deserve…
There are so many possible twists and turns for this storyline to take, and we refuse to miss a single minute of it!
