I’m A Celeb’s Danielle Harold reveals disgusting chore she took on in camp as favour to Nigel Farage
Nigel has been exposed as the camp’s stinkiest member, with Josie Gibson complaining about his odour.
EASTENDERS’ Danielle Harold channelled her inner Dot Cotton in I’m A Celebrity – and washed Nigel Farage’s dirty pants every day.
The actress made the confession when opening up about life in the jungle after becoming the fifth star to leave.
Danielle, 31, said: “Nige, I’ve done his washing for him every day.
“And it’s not every day you can say you’ve washed Nigel Farage’s pants in a creek, is it?
“It’s definitely a highlight of my life.”
Nigel has been exposed as the camp’s stinkiest member, with Josie Gibson complaining about his odour.
After quizzing him about whether he’d applied deodorant, she added in the Bush Telegraph: “There’s been times where Nigel has been a tiny bit whiffy.
“He’s been washing but he still stinks and I don’t know what it is.”
Danielle, who played Lola Pearce on the BBC soap for almost a decade, also revealed she had struck up a close friendship with Jamie Lynn Spears.
Jamie Lynn, sister of pop star Britney, quit I’m A Celebrity after just days in camp.
But Danielle said she thought they could now bag their own spin off travel show, just like Beverley Callard and Jordan North did after their stint in the jungle.
Danielle said: “Jamie is an incredible girl.
“I’m going to go over to America to see her and she’s going to come to London.
“We need to do our own show, it’d be so funny. We just have such a giggle.”
During her time in camp, Danielle struggled with the bad weather – which left her co-star Fred Sirieix battling a nasty foot infection.
She explained: “That jungle eats you alive.
“I’ve been eaten by ants.
“The littlest thing in that jungle is the worst. I think the rain for us was the thing we struggled with most. It brings out the leeches and all different kinds of creatures that are out to give you a much.”
Laughing, Danielle added: “I think the animal ate better than us in there. The mosquitoes definitely did.”
Before being voted out of the show, Danielle had yet to do a solo Bushtucker Trial.
Speaking from the 5* Marriott Hotel, she confessed that her male co-stars Marvin Humes, Tony Bellew and former UKIP boss Nigel tried to save her and Josie Gibson from having to do them.
Danielle said: “The guys are such gents in there, honestly the biggest group of gentlemen I’ve ever been with in my life.
“Anytime we was like “I’ll go,” they were like: ‘No we can’t let you get covered in that stuff’.
“[Before I left] I was like, ‘Right I am going tonight, I’m putting my foot down and bringing home the bacon for the boys.’”
Danielle is backing Sam Thompson to win now and celebrated leaving camp with a Pina Colada cocktail and a drive-thru from McDonalds.
Danielle added: “I ordered two double cheeseburgers, two chips and a coke.
“They told me to take it easy when you come out. I was like, ‘No!’ The sugar rush after was amazing.
“Now a drink and a holiday is definitely at the top of my list.”
