Lola Pearce delivers shock news from beyond the grave in EastEnders Christmas spoilers

Phil Mitchell is shaken by Lola's words but how will the rest of her loved ones react?

LOLA Pearce succumbed to a terminal brain tumour earlier this year, leaving her loved ones devastated.

But against all odds, the fan favourite makes an impromptu return to EastEnders for Christmas.

Months have past since Lola Pearce (played by Danielle Harold) drew her last breath at home with her husband Jay Brown and daughter Lexi by her side.

Since then, things have drastically changed in the Square as her loved ones prepare to celebrate Christmas in the Square and Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) to Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).

Coming up on BBC One, Christmas fever is in full swing as the residents of Walford settle down for a day of festivities.

Meanwhile, Sharon and Keanu get ready for their wedding day at No.43 with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) and Martin Fowler (James Bye).

Unbeknownst to anybody, Sharon tries to mask her guilt as she continues to keep a massive secret about her son Albie’s paternity.

Later, at the church, Sharon is a vision in white as she walks down the aisle with Albie.

Sharon and Keanu are about to say “I do” before her ex-husband Phil Mitchell arrives with a huge bombshell of his own.

But what will he tell Sharon?

Will he find out he’s Albie’s real father?

This remains to be seen but, in a surprise twist, Lola may have the right words for Phil Mitchell.

Back at No.55, in later scenes of the London-based program, the Mitchell family receive a surprise video message from Lola.

In this surprise message, the late hairstylist reveals that Jay and Honey (Jamie Borthwick and Emma Barton) are both running the London Marathon.

With Lola’s words about family ringing true, Phil heads to The Vic.

Who will he meet?

Could he meet his end on Christmas Day?

In later scenes in The Vic, Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) seek solace as they all try to process the events of the day.

The Six matriarchs are set to be involved in a huge murder mystery this festive season – and Phil is rumoured to be one of the potential victims.

How will it play out?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
