Snow falls on Albert Square in first look at EastEnders Christmas episodes
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas down in Albert Square, with the EastEnders set showing signs of snowfall.
The iconic filming location of the BBC One soap was pictured looking particularly festive, with the Queen Vic and surrounding areas beautifully decorated for the holiday season.
Adding to the wintery vibe are blankets of snow and ice on the pavements, meaning that it’s going to be a cold Christmas for the residents of Walford.
EastEnders’ festive outings are always a treat but there’s more excitement than usual this year, due to confirmation of a huge death.
A historic flash-forward episode, which aired in February, saw Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) standing over a corpse.

Sharon, who was in a wedding dress, checked the pulse of the unfortunate resident, confirming his death, as the six women processed what had transpired.
Speculation has been rife among fans ever since, with viewers eagerly awaiting this year’s festive offering in a bid to find out who it is that will perish.
Discussing what viewers can expect, EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw previously told Metro.co.uk: ‘There’s a huge amount that’s in the mix, and it dominates the autumn and the build to Christmas.
‘As we build to Christmas, all the pieces will fall into place for what I think is going to be one of our biggest Christmases.
‘What will become apparent is who the potential bodies are.
‘At the moment, I think it could almost be any man in Walford, but as we head toward Christmas it will become clearer who the final line up of men it could be. There’s lots of twists and turns.
‘I do think you’ll be guessing right up until the very end.’
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
