Strictly’s Bobby Brazier fights back tears over cancer story on Celebrity Gogglebox as he’s comforted by dad Jeff
He has spoken of paying tribute to his mum Jade following her death
BOBBY Brazier was close to tears as a cancer story hit a nerve during an episode of Celebrity Gogglebox.
The model turned Strictly Come Dancing star, 20, appeared on the Channel 4 reality TV series with dad Jeff Brazier, 44, on Friday.
Celebrity Gogglebox was always bound to be an emotional show for Bobby, with the funds raised being donated to charity Stand Up To Cancer.
The catwalk king was just five when his Big Brother star mum Jade died from cervical cancer in 2009.
She was just 27 when she passed away and her two sons Bobby and Freddie went to live with their dad Jeff.
After giving their take on this week’s telly, the Brazier boys watched the heart-wrenching story of Harry.
He told how he passed out after suffering from two brain tumours.
Now, sadly, doctors have discovered a third, which means Harry is now planning his own funeral.
Bobby, sitting on his snug green sofa, was visibly emotional at Harry’s experience.
Dad Jeff was on-hand to offer some wise words of advice as Bobby couldn’t muster the words to speak.
He said on the Channel 4 show: “There’s a lot of us that live life without really truly grabbing it with both hands and appreciating what we’ve got.
“It’s humbling to be reminded of that.”
Jeff was seen hugging his son as he shared his comments.
Jade’s death prompted half a million more women than usual to book a cervical screening.
The Sun then launched a campaign, called Jade’s Legacy, to reinforce the message that smears are essential.
Bobby previously exclusively told The Sun Online she is still smiling down on him and his career.
In his first newspaper chat back in 2020, Bobby, who has modelled at Milan and London fashion weeks, told The Sun: “Like every boy, you want to think your mum would be proud of you.”
Last month, the EastEnders actor told how he planned to pay tribute to Jade with one of his Strictly routines.
He told how he has already picked a song that would be “so perfect”.
Bobby revealed he will perform the special routine with professional partner Dianne Buswell as their couples choice.
He told the Mirror: “Our couples choice, there is a song that is so perfect. I would love to do it.
“If it happens, it happens, but I would love to do that.”
Jeff has been supporting his eldest from the Strictly audience each week and has been spotted in tears watching his son.
