Where you might have seen BBC EastEnders actress and newcomer Sophie Khan Levy before

EastEnders has got some new faces making an appearance in Albert Square tonight, and it could spell trouble for Ravi Gulati.

In the latest episode. BBC viewers will see Ravi come face to face with Priya Nandra-Hart, Nugget’s mum and his ex partner. Not only will Ravi be shocked to see a former flame but she’s also got her own surprise in store for him as she introduces secret daughter Avani.

BBC viewers might have seen actress Sophie Khan Levy who plays Priya before, as this isn’t her first time appearing on the BBC, but where have we seen her before?

Outside of her new role in EastEnders, Sophie has played roles in recent BBC drama The Sixth Commandment as well as playing Florence Pandhi in All Creatures Great And Small. She’s also had roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company in productions of As You Like It and Love’s Labours Lost.

She’s also set to appear in a US production titled ‘Gangrene’, which will air next year, according to her IMDB profile.

Announcing her role in EastEnders, Sophie shared an update to her Instagram with a snap of her in character on the BBC soap posing alongside daughter Avani. Writing alongside the picture, Sophie said: “Cat’s out the bag and this one’s got claws … @bbceastenders Can’t wait to join the fam”.

She was congratulated by fellow EastEnders stars including James Farrar, who plays Zack Hudson, as he wrote: “COME ON SOPH”. Comedy actor Muzz Khan wrote: “GET OUT OF TOWN!!! Well done, Sophie! Bet ya mums mega proud. Xxx.”

EastEnders viewers will be bracing themselves for Priya’s arrival, as it means drama for the Square. First we see her when Nugget runs away to her to hide from dad Ravi, after Nugget finds out that Ravi killed Ranveer. Suki then helped him hide from Ravi, with Ravi and Nugget’s friends all believing that Nugget had died after going missing.
