EastEnders legend Jessie Wallace leaves fans shocked with bleach blonde makeover
Jessie has been keeping very controversial company of late
EASTENDERS favourite Jessie Wallace has stunned fans with her bleach blonde makeover.
The actress, who plays gobby Kat Slater on the BBC soap, has switched up her look just weeks after she was spotted on a day out with her grandson.
The EastEnders stalwart, 52, is known for her short raven locks, which she often sports in a poker-straight style.
Now, she has taken to Instagram to reveal her striking new look in a glam selfie.
Jessie donned a festive red dress and thick black eye make-up – yet it was her bright blonde barnet that got fans talking.
One follower likened her to a pop icon as they wrote: “Ooh it’s a yes from me, looking like a young Madonna xx”
Another added: “Omg you so suit blonde,” as a third simply put: “Wow.”
A fan then wrote: “Loving the blonde.”
Yet others speculated her new ‘do might simply be a filter – and not a real-life image revamp.
Recently, Jessie sported her signature natural locks while out for a stroll.
Meanwhile, The Sun exclusively reported how soap star Jessie was captured on camera with road rage killer Kenneth Noye in London.
The actress partied at The O2 Arena with the gangster – who also once stabbed a cop to death.
The 76-year-old, freed from jail in 2019 after murdering a motorist in a road rage row, enjoyed VIP hospitality in a corporate box alongside the star.
Jessie was arrested last year for kneeing a policeman in the groin during a drunken night out.
Talking of her fraternising with Noye, a disgusted retired police officer said: “You’ve got the police killer and the police batterer together in one box.”
They were among £200-a-head guests as champagne flowed at London’s O2 arena as they watched the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra perform Elvis tracks.
Noye fatally stabbed cop John Fordham, 43, in 1985, but was acquitted on grounds of self-defence. In 2000, he was jailed for life for murdering electrician Stephen Cameron, 21, during a road rage row in 1996 at Swanley, Kent.
A spokesman at the time said Jessie did not know Noye, adding: “If he was in the shared public box, it’s a genuine coincidence.”
