Former EastEnders star Nigel Harman is making waves on the dance floor of Strictly Come Dancing, and fans are cheering him on every step of the way.

Viewers of the hit TV show have been left in awe as the 50-year-old contestant continues to impress the judges with his fancy footwork. The latest episode saw the star and his partner, Katya Jones, take to the dance floor to perform a passionate Tango to the tune of Mark Robson and Miley Cyrus’ hit song, “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” and the pair managed to secure an impressive score of 33.

The judges were quick to praise the pair, with Motsi Mabuse saying that ” Christmas has come early” and Shirley Ballas commending their “fabulous footwork” and “great choreography”. However, it wasn’t all perfect for the couple, as Craig Revel Horwood pointed out that the star was “picking his feet up too much” and that they were “like flippers”. Despite the feedback, the pair made it comfortably to week eight, much to the delight of fans.

But it’s not just his fans who are supporting him – his family is behind him too, especially his wife Lucy Liemann. The talented actress has been by his side throughout the competition and has been his biggest cheerleader.

Nigel and Lucy first met on the set of Hotel Babylon, where they both starred in the show. The couple tied the knot in 2011 in a private ceremony, and just the following year they welcomed their first child together.

Despite their busy lives in the public eye, the couple has managed to keep their relationship out of the spotlight. They have shared no details of their wedding day or family life, and Lucy has no active social media pages. Nigel occasionally posts on Instagram, but he does not share photographs of his family online.

Nigel is best known for his role as Dennis Rickman in EastEnders, but did you know his wife Lucy Liemann is also a talented actress? The 49-year-old has appeared in several hit shows, including The Bill, The IT Crowd, Wild at Heart, and Midsomer Murders. She currently stars in the British comedy-drama Agatha Raisin as Sarah Bloxby.

Lucy’s acting career began after being spotted by a voice scout while working in a supermarket. She then went on to study at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and has since worked in theatre, TV, and film. Her first role was in a stage production of Phallacy in 2005.

Lucy has been cheering on her husband every step of the way as he competes on Strictly Come Dancing. Nigel has previously revealed that he and his family are big fans of the show and always vote.

Before the show’s launch in September, the actor spoke about why he decided to sign up. He said: “The easiest place to start is that I love the show. I watch the show, I love the entertainment value of it. I find it to be full of heart and full of love. There’s a magical quality to it, plus when I sit and watch with my family we always vote!”
