EastEnders confirms whopping Christmas murder development as a theory is confirmed
Christmas is very nearly upon us which can mean only one thing: One EastEnders character’s days are numbered.
When the flash forward to Christmas aired back in February, it felt like worlds away, but as the big day draws closer, the BBC soap is dropping more hints than ever.
Over the past nine months, we have been gathering clues and theories, and it seems that one major one has been confirmed.
Ever since we saw Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) in a blood soaked wedding dress, we knew we were in for an epic Christmas day, but we were left with one major question: Who is she marrying?
Recent scenes have seen Sharon reunite with Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) and accept yet another proposal from him. While their previous engagements ended in disaster, it seems as though this one may go the distance, as Sharon soon makes a big announcement.
Excited about their future, Sharon announces that she and Keanu will be hosting their wedding reception in the Queen Vic on Christmas Day.
Well, that explains the wedding dress, Christmas tree and buffet!
Of course, what we still don’t know is how The Six end up alone in the pub, and who the body on the floor is.
There is one thing that we are certain of though, and it is that if Sharon and Keanu do go through with their wedding, then it is set to be a marriage built on lies, as both parties are hiding massive secrets.
Sharon recently discovered that son Albie wasn’t actually Keanu’s, but ex-husband Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden). This is something she has so far kept to herself, terrified that the truth may tear her family apart.
What she doesn’t know, however, is that Keanu is also harbouring a huge secret: The fact that he was behind Albie’s supposed kidnapping.
Sharon was left in pieces when son Albie went missing, unaware that Keanu had actually tried to leave the country with him. When Keanu’s plan to leave failed, he made up a story that Albie had been kidnapped, forging ransom notes in a bid to not be caught out.
Unfortunately for Keanu, his secret is set to come tumbling out when Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) grows suspicious of Karen Taylor’s (Lorraine Stanley) lucrative spending in upcoming scenes.
