BBC EastEnders fans ‘work out’ Stacey and Jack’s downfall in revenge twist
BBC EastEnders aired even more explosive scenes on Thursday night as Stacey Slater confided in Jack Branning and some fans think they know what is instore for Stacey
EastEnders viewers think they have figured out Stacey Slater and Jack Branning’s downfall.
Earlier this week, Stacey struggled with her stalker Theo Hawthorne’s plea hearing and after manipulating the evil character, Theo pleaded guilty in court. After the proceedings, Stacey got drunk and Jack was forced to comfort her as she tearfully confessed her fears about Theo.
Jack decided to take Stacey back to his house to sober up but it wasn’t long until Sam Mitchell, who is temporarily living there, told Jack about her dislike of the Slaters as Jack defended Stacey. After being shut down by Jack, a defeated Sam declared she was off to sleep on her son Ricky’s floor upstairs.

Meanwhile, once alone, Stacey admitted to Jack that she planted the wrench on Theo to cover up Freddie’s actions and make it look like Theo tried to attack her. A conflicted Jack told Stacey that due to his position, he must inform the authorities of her confession.
However, Stacey was quick to detail her actions and pleaded with Jack to keep quiet, which he reluctantly agreed to do. The pair had a heart-to-heart about the past and as they said goodbye, it was clear there was a spark between the two amid viewers predicting an affair storyline.
Taking to Twitter, now X, some viewers think Sam, who dislikes Stacey and the Slaters, may have been secretly listening and will stitch the duo up in a revenge twist. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “Jack’s right, they could all be in big trouble if they say something or be in big trouble if they don’t. They’re taking one hell of a risk here. I wonder if Sam is listening in on this and use it to her advantage. #Eastenders.”
Elsewhere, another soap watcher wrote: “Bet Sam overheard Stacey and Jack and has recorded it all #EastEnders…” The hit BBC One soap is gearing up for a Christmas whodunnit, where Denise, Kathy, Linda, Sharon, Stacey and Suki are faced with a dead body, whose identity is yet to be revealed. With Stacey confiding in Jack, could he somehow be a part of the deadly festive storyline or will evil Theo come back to haunt Stacey again?
