EastEnders spoilers: Desperate Kat Slater makes plea to Sharon Watts after big lie to Phil Mitchell
Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) recently made a decision on what to do about Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) huge secret in EastEnders.
Recent scenes saw Sharon confess to best friend Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) that Albie was actually Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) son, not Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters).
Sharon made the shocking discovery about Albie’s paternity after a hospital visit, where she was informed that he had a rare genetic condition that had to have been passed down through both parents.
Because Keanu didn’t carry the gene, this meant that Albie was not his son, and with Phil being the only other person Sharon had slept with around the time Albie was conceived, he had to be his.
It probably wasn’t the best conversation to have in a public toilet, as Sharon soon found out.
She was left horrified when Kat Slater emerged from one of the cubicles, and made it clear that she wasn’t prepared to keep this a secret from her husband.
Desperate to stop Phil finding out, Sharon went from pleading with Kat to keep quiet to outright promising to ruin her life if she spilled.
The following day, both Sharon and Linda were on edge as they waited for the worst to happen, until they spotted Kat wandering through the Square.
Sharon was quick to catch her, and warned her that her whole life would blow up if she said anything to Phil.
However, Kat was quick to point out that if se didn’t tell him herself and he found out anyway, then things would go ‘nuclear’.
She left Sharon to dwell on that all day, until later they crossed paths in the Queen Vic once more.
It was then that Kat informed Sharon of her decision, and made a desperate plea in the process.
She left Sharon relieved as she revealed that she had a good life with Phil and her boys, and didn’t want to do anything to ruin that.
As she announced that she was prepared to keep Sharon’s huge secret, she warned her that Phil could never find out that she knew.
Sharon agreed, but will she keep her end of the bargain if the truth ever comes out?
