EastEnders spoilers: Denise Fox set to destroy Jack Branning’s life as she confronts him over his night with Stacey Slater

Denise Fox (Diane Parish) was told by Kim (Tameka Empson) that she should prepare for her marriage to fall apart in EastEnders.

This week, after Jack (Scott Maslen) confessed that he slept with someone, Denise made the discovery it was Stacey (Lacey Turner) after overhearing a conversation between them.

In Wednesday’s (December 20) episode of the BBC One soap, the atmosphere between Denise and Jack was tense. As far as Jack was concerned, Denise only knew he had slept with a woman – he had no idea she had worked out it was Stacey.

Denise then made her way over to see Kim. She told her sister about Jack’s betrayal and then tried to work out what to do.

Denise’s focus was on her and Jack’s children, as well as the Slater kids. She argued a divorce would impact Raymond, Ricky (Frankie Day) and especially Amy (Ellie Dadd), who has struggled with her mental health this year.

Kim then sat her sister down and said she needed to ‘play this one smart’. She bluntly told Denise that her marriage is dead and sooner or later, she’d be looking at divorce papers.

As wise as ever, Kim said Denise needed to get herself a lawyer and prepare to take everything that Jack has.

That evening, Denise prepared to confront Jack.

When he returned home, Jack said he was sorting something for work, but failed to mention he was also with Stacey.

A curious Denise then questioned Jack and wondered why everything he owns is registered in his accountant’s name.

Jack tried to back himself up and said he altered the details shortly after Denise and Ravi’s (Aaron Thiara) affair was revealed, but he was put in his place when Denise announced she knows he slept with Stacey.

But ahead of the Christmas Day murder, where does this leave Denise and Jack?

Will focus turn to Denise and Jack going through a divorce, preventing Jack from being the dead body in the pub?

Or will Denise try and get revenge another way?
