Lorraine Stanley issues stern warning to EastEnders fans as she admits ‘I feel like absolute s**t’

EASTENDERS actress Lorraine Stanley has issued a warning to her fans after admitting to feeling like “s**t” amid her axing from the soap.

The popular actress has played Walford favourite Karen Taylor for seven years on the BBC soap but her time is due to come to an end imminently.

Lorraine was given her marching orders by BBC bosses earlier this year after they decided to pull her character from the show amid a shake-up.

The soap star has given her fans a warning over the past weekend after getting herself in a hungover state after admitting she hadn’t been “clever”.

Looking slightly worse for wear in an Instagram selfie, Lorraine’s usual cheeky personality appeared to have faded after her heavy night of drinking.

Wearing a brightly coloured scarf and dangling hoop earring, she kept her hair hidden underneath a headscarf.

Warning her almost 200,000 followers, Lorraine said: “Don’t drink! It’s not funny and it’s not clever. Feel like absolute s****!! Look at the face on it…#hanging.”

She then shared an image which suggested she had surprisingly chosen to drink a Bloody Mary to get her through it.

Earlier this month, the 47 year old broke her silence on her brutal axing in an exclusive interview with The Sun.

Lorraine told The Sun that she is gutted to be leaving Albert Square but admitted this opens the way for new roles – including a part on a rival soap.

Lorraine opened up about the shock moment she received the phone call telling her that she would be axed.

The actress told us: “I was sad, it was a mix of emotions, it’s sad but it’s exciting as now I can go and do what I want.

“You can get a bit relaxed there and a bit comfortable. So I want to be out of my comfort zone.

“I just want people to remember her as the best mum on the square, a heart of gold, she’d give you her last fiver and would do anything for her kids – a bit like myself.”

The TV star may be exiting a high drama filled soap but she is already eyeing up another role on a very popular ITV show.

She revealed: “Would I consider a rival soap? If I did, I think it would have to be Corrie and I would have to be the new landlady.

“I’d be Gemma’s [Winter] auntie, Bernie’s sister. I’d be in there family and I’d take over The Rovers.”
