Grant made his last appearance on the soap in 2016. Aunt Sal’s funeral will see the arrival of her husband, Harold Martin. Breaking the news of inheritance money left by his wife for the Mitchell siblings, Harold made fans curious about Grant’s return.

To her luck, she makes a shocking discovery from Kat’s ex, Alfie Moon. She learns that Phil cheated on his wife, Kat, last year with Lola’s mum Emma Harding. Using this information against him, Sam starts blackmailing Phil. Nevertheless, Phil doesn’t yield to Sam’s demands.
Later at the Vic, Sam chooses Kat and Sam’s joint birthday party to drop a bombshell. Although Phil agrees to hand over the money, Sam turns the tables on him in front of everyone at the pub. She takes the mic and reveals Phil slept with Emma, leaving everyone stunned. And Kat? The poor lady can’t process the news for the first few moments.
It’s too bad we won’t get to watch Grant Mitchell on the soap anytime soon. But a lot is going on right now with the Mitchells, and we can’t wait to see how that rolls out!
