COMIC Bobby Davro is recovering from a minor stroke after collapsing at a show.
The ex-EastEnders star had just come off stage following a standing ovation at a sell-out gig.
He suffered what he has described as a “funny turn” at the Coulsdon Comedy club, South London, last Thursday night.
Funnyman Bobby, 65, has been told to take it easy for two weeks.
But a source said the stalwart performer will be back on stage on February 4.
They told The Sun: “His condition has greatly improved and he’s now resting at home.+
“Clearly he’s feeling much better as Bobby described his proximity to the hospital and the excellent care he received there as ‘a real stroke of luck’.”
It is another blow for the TV favourite — who rose to fame in the 1980s — after his fiancée Vicky Wright, 63, died of pancreatic cancer last year.
At the time, he told The Sun how he proposed to her the day before she started chemotherapy.
He even got pal Sir Cliff Richard in on the act by sending her a video message featuring his 1968 hit Congratulations.
Bobby said: “I have to forgive the universe for taking her away from me, but the engagement was one of the best days of her life.”
And the comic, who split from his wife of ten years Trudi Jameson in 2003, admitted: “I never wanted to marry again after getting divorced.
“The fact that I hadn’t proposed caused us problems.
“So people said to me, ‘You’re only doing it for her’.
“But I was doing it for both of us.
“She was the love of my life.
“I could never have lived with myself if I hadn’t.”
