EastEnders spoilers follow from Thursday’s BBC iPlayer episode (October 5). As these scenes don’t air on BBC One until Thursday, some readers may prefer to avoid these storyline details.

EastEnders aired a temporary exit for Freddie Slater in the show’s latest episode.

Freddie is currently facing an uncertain future following his shocking attack on Theo earlier this week.

Freddie jumped in to protect Stacey when he caught Theo trying to rape her while she was alone at the Slaters’ house.

Stacey and Eve then helped cover for a panic-stricken Freddie by making it look like Theo was armed with a weapon and Freddie had acted in self-defence.

Despite this, Freddie was still arrested for attempted murder.

Stacey is in turmoil as she fears for Freddie in today’s episode, which is already available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

As Freddie waits to be questioned at the police station, Jean gets a shock when Stacey tells her what really happened.

Jean is further thrown when Freddie requests her as his appropriate adult during the interview and wonders if she is the right person to support him.

Freddie is eventually bailed, much to his family’s relief, and decides to go to stay with his mum Little Mo.

After saying an emotional farewell to his family and friends, Freddie was driven out of the Square by Harvey.

Shortly afterwards, Jack arrives to tell the horrified Stacey, Eve and Jean that Theo is now awake, and that his statement contradicts theirs. What will this mean?

Bobby Brazier recently confirmed that he would be taking a break from EastEnders to focus while he competes in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.

“I’m taking a break,” he said. “I’ve filmed it all, and I’m not telling you. I’ll be back.”
