BBC EastEnders fans ‘rumble’ new Jay love twist ahead of accident — and it’s ‘not Nadine’
BBC EastEnders viewers think they have rumbled a love twist for troubled Jay Brown as he continues to struggle with the death of his wife Lola Pearce
EastEnders fans think they have rumbled a love twist for troubled Jay Brown and it doesn’t involve newcomer Nadine.
Soap watchers will recall that Jay has been taking drugs recently and spending time with escort Nadine as he continues to struggle with the death of his wife Lola Pearce. Things have got so bad that Jay was even arrested last week for possession of drugs after a concerned Callum Highway contacted the police.
On Wednesday’s episode, Billy ran the idea of scattering Lola’s ashes past Jay but he snapped and criticised the fact that everyone has moved on from her death besides him. In a bid to forget about his grief, Jay decided to get drunk where he had a heart-to-heart with Honey.

Later in the episode, Jay met with Nadine, who assumed he just wanted more drugs, but Jay admitted he wanted her and not the drugs. The two then slept together but Jay was soon hit with guilt and sadness when Nadine revealed she had to leave to meet another client.
Jay was left wondering if he will ever move on from Lola in heartbreaking scenes with soap watchers now predicting a new love interest for him, which isn’t Nadine. In upcoming scenes, Gina, who has had her own drug addiction issues, attempts to help support Jay ahead of his horror accident.
Viewers now think that Gina and Jay could pursue a romance in the future, if he survives the horror accident which takes place next week. Taking to social media, one person said: “Could Gina be a new love interest for Jay when he’s really ready? #Eastenders”, a different account put: “Jay and Gina are a future couple. I’m certain of it. #EastEnders” while another account added: “Gina & Jay are my wished-for ship! They have great chemistry. Both are a bit broken. And they look gorg together. BRING IT #Eastenders!”
In upcoming scenes next week, Jay is overcome with emotion whilst looking at Lola’s things before Ben and Gina find him unconscious on the sofa having taken more drugs. Billy is disgusted at Jay and a huge row erupts between the pair to which Billy orders Jay out of their lives for good.
Feeling heartbroken, Jay decides to drive to Margate against Gina’s wishes. Things take a worrying turn later in the week when the police arrive at The Vic looking for Jay’s next-of-kin as it is revealed that Jay has been in an accident…
Billy, Ben and Callum are horrified to learn that Jay has been in an accident but the police refuse to give them any details about whether he is alive as none of them are his next-of-kin. Is Jay okay and has he survived the accident?
