TV Season & Spoilers previously reported to you the exciting news of fan favourite Jacqueline Jossa returning to EastEnders. The talented actress portrays the character of Lauren Barrings on the soap, but has been missing from the fold for quite a while. Although, she did make a fleeting appearance during Dot Cotton’s funeral, and earlier this year around the time of Cindy Beale’s return. However, finally the star has confirmed that she is returning to Walford with the intention of staying! Having said that, she also added that she is feels “worried” about her upcoming return. Recently, in an Instagram Q&A EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa has confirmed that she is returning to Walford. However, she also went on to admit that she is nervous about the comeback. Addressing the duration of her stay the actress revealed that it is “as permanent as anyone there is permanent”. Furthermore, she assured her fans that it is not a “flying” appearance this time, and that she is back for good. Jacqueline then admitted that the show has been going so good that she is actually worried that her come back might ruin it. Although we bed to differ. She is a phenomenal performer. Moreover, her portrayal of Lauren has always been top notch.
EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw also recently divulged some inside scoop about Lauren’s return to the soap. He stated that he has been wanting to lean into the history of some of the most iconic Walford families. He expressed that he is delighted to have Jacqueline Jossa back on the soap as Lauren. Furthermore, he added that Lauren has a lot of unfinished business with people in Walford. Especially, with the Beale family. So her return will be nothing short of explosive!
“The Branning family have a long history of being at the heart of the drama in Walford,” Chris pointed. Hence, it will be really exciting to have Lauren back in the square to take the family tradition forward. Interestingly, her return will entwine with some of the most awaited festive storylines.
