TV Season & Spoilers previously reported that a dangerous fire is set to rip through Walford on EastEnders. Early media reports had pointed that the fire is poised to originate from Kathy’s cafe. Moreover, once the flames build up, they are to engulf the launderette opposite to the cafe. Interestingly, the iconic launderette is where Karen Taylor works. And as we know, she is being written out of the show. Thus, the two stories together sparked speculations that Karen might end up losing her life in the fire.
Other than this teaser and speculation, not much had been revealed about the fire until now. However, some latest spoilers have dropped new hints about the upcoming EastEnders fire. A freshly released description of an upcoming episode reveals that there is chaos in the Square when the fuse box blows at the cafe. This particular episode is set to go on air on November 1, 2023. The teased fire is also supposed to air sometime in November, 2023. Does that mean that the two incidents could be connected?
EastEnders: An Accident Or A Sneaky Ploy?
Earlier, when the fire spoilers first surfaced, it was touted that the blaze would be intentional. However, we are not rejecting the possibility of it being an accident either. But considering that the soap usually prefers a dramatic take, we are leaning towards the former possibility to be true. But if that is the case, who could be responsible for it? And why the sudden thought of a fire right after a blown fuse? Could it be possible that the guilty party perhaps takes inspiration from the faulty fuse box? Hoping that the fire would get written of to it!
One name that immediately pops in our head in Rocky Cotton! We know he is struggling to get the cash back that he blew in gambling on EastEnders. Thus, there is a possibility that he might set the cafe ablaze in hopes of cashing in the insurance! The insurance money could surely solve many of his problems. Moreover, this could open the gates for two exits that we know are coming our way.
First, Karen! There is always a possibility that she might perish in the fire when it reaches the launderette. Second, if Rocky is caught, he will either be going to jail, or Kathy will cut ties with him. Perhaps forcing him out of Walford! We do know that actor Brian Conley is leaving! Anotjer character on her way out is Whitney. However, fans are hoping for her to have a happy ending. So we will leave it at that!
