Eagle-eyed EastEnders fans spot awkward set blunder during intense scene

EastEnders found itself in an awkward predicament when an unexpected glimpse of the studio, usually hidden from view, made an appearance on screen during Thursday night’s episode (October 20).

The BBC One soap saw it’s usually dose of drama unfold with Jay’s tumultuous life, as Ben Mitchell uncovered a startling revelation about him sleeping with a prostitute who looked like Lola and taking Ketamin. In the midst of this dramatic revelation at the Vic, an attentive viewer couldn’t help but spot a part of the fictitious set that is typically concealed during the scenes.

A peculiar camera angle inadvertently exposed the studio’s concealed lighting apparatus hanging above the counterfeit bar counter. Taking to social media to share their discovery, an observant EastEnders enthusiast humorously quipped: “@BBCEastEnders I spot studio lights! Oopsie!”

This isn’t the first time the lights have been shows on camera. Back in 2022 as eagle-eyed viewers watched Mick and Linda discuss her upcoming court case at Linda’s house, the bright lights above the studio set made a brief appearance and didn’t go unnoticed by viewers. “did someone just see the studio lights pop into the shot,” asked one viewer.

Another added: “oops I saw the studio lights!! #eastenders,” said another. EastEnders is currently serving up drama as Nish Panesar gets closer to Ravi’s ex, Priya.

The Panesar has had their fair share of upheaval this week, marked by the unexpected arrival of Ravi’s former flame, Priya, and her daughter, Avani—a revelation that Ravi himself was oblivious to. The pair had been struggling financially, and in the latest episode, they faced eviction from their apartment due to unpaid rent.
