Why didn’t Andi say anything to Penelope or Agent Watt when Gary confronted her in the parking garage in season 7?
Do you remember how Andi had an emotional breakdown? She walked through the office, went to her room, and collapsed in tears. Penelope called her during that moment. That could have been the perfect opportunity for Andi to spill everything, contact the FBI, and give them the upper hand against Gary.
It would have made for an interesting plot twist too—Andi pretending to play along with Gary, acting like she’s all in for marriage, while secretly giving the Feds time to gather evidence to bring him down. But none of that happened.
Andi’s silence becomes even more frustrating when, at the end of the episode, Agent Watt tells her, “Gary’s dead.” Yet, she still refuses to talk! Just when it seemed like she was finally about to tell Agent Watt the truth, Robin swooped in and derailed the moment. Again!
In the promo for the next episode, we see all the girls at the penthouse, and Robin asks Andi point-blank: “So why are you so scared to tell the truth?”
Robin, like all of us, has put two and two together. Andi broke up with Gary, got with Jordan, broke up with Jordan, and now Gary is stabbed. Something isn’t adding up, and Robin knows it.
We, as the audience, know why Andi hasn’t said anything. But the real question is: why is she still staying quiet?
This was the one thing holding the episode back for me. I really hope they don’t drag this storyline out much longer because, if they do, I’m going to lose it.
