EastEnders actor Danielle Harold has sparked rumours about her relationship with former on-screen hubby, Jamie Borthwick, after sharing a glimpse of their ‘date night’ with her adoring fanbase.
The 31-year-old, best known for starring as Lola Pearce on the popular BBC soap, took to Instagram on Thursday to give her 384k followers a snippet into her midweek fun with her old castmate. In the hilarious clip, Jamie, who has played Jay Brown on Albert Square since 2006, can be seen singing Murder on the Dancefloor in an exaggeratedly posh accent as the pair attend a gig together.
Always one to show off his cheeky humour, the 29-year-old also pulls a series of funny faces for the camera. Danielle captioned the video, “Date night with Jamie_10 …always a treat”, before punctuating her fond words with a red love heart.

Danielle and Jamie’s portrayal of couple Lola and Jay on EastEnders has always gone down well with viewers, even bagging the pair a British Soap Awards nomination for Best On-Screen Partnership in 2023. If that wasn’t enough to pique interest in their relationship, the two have even joked that they plan to tie the knot in the future.
“We say, if me and Danielle aren’t married by the age of 30, we’re going to get married,” Jamie told the Mirror in May.
“We said 40!” Danielle clarified, laughing at the pair’s matrimonial pact. In another interview with Fabulous, the Jamie’s Dream School star confirmed her affection for her former co-star.

“I always say Jamie is the husband I never wanted or asked for, but nonetheless got,” she said. “Seriously though, there’s no one like that at the moment. But I’ve been so busy, it’s probably for the best.”
Danielle made her final appearance on EastEnders in May, when Lola was killed off by writers in a tragic brain tumour storyline. When asked about her plans for the future, the Lewisham native said that she was looking forward to playing new characters.
“‘EastEnders’ has been such a big part of my life, but I can’t wait to start something new….. I can’t wait to get out there and see what’s possible.”
Danielle also shared her dreams of working on movies again, having previously cut her teeth on the silver screen with roles in Two Graves and Monster. “I’d love to do a drama. I want to do something completely different to soaps. I’d love to get back to doing some films as well.”
