BBC EastEnders fans ‘work out’ Christmas twist as ‘jailed’ character set to die
Fans of hit BBC soap EastEnders think they have worked out who will be leaving the show as writers set up several different suspects for having a motive to murder this Christmas
EastEnders viewers believe they have sussed out a huge Christmas twist that is set to leave a returning character dead.
Fans of the hit BBC soap have been trying for months to work out who could be the so-called “Christmas body”, as someone on the Square is set to leave. As well as this, eagle-eyed viewers have been on the lookout for clues to spot who could potentially be responsible for the death.
So far, all that fans know for sure is that the victim is a man, they are wearing a lush suit and cufflinks, and that the murder scene is the Queen Vic pub. But viewers are still being left in the dark as to who the unfortunate victim is and what are the events that led to him dying.
Writers for the show have created several narratives that could reveal who is to die and who is responsible for the man’s death. Currently, there are six different victims, each creating motives for six female characters to strike.
For Kathy Beale, the potential victim may be estranged husband Rocky, as she continues to struggle. But the return of Dean Wicks, long-time enemy of Linda means that it could potentially be him who meets his end on Albert Square.
As for Denise, the fallout from her affair with Ravi could put him in the firing line, even though Denise and Jack have been on the verge of splitting. Stacey’s potential victim would be Theo, as the pair have been hating each other and a straight target for her.
For Suki, it could easily be controlling husband Nish Paneshar as she starts to realise her sexuality. Finally, Sharon is set to marry Keanu at Christmas, which would make it likely to be him if she is connected in any way to the death.
But even with the several motives being set up by producers, some fans are convinced it may be a red herring and someone not involved in the debacle at all will wind up dead. One astute viewer brought up the theory that a returning character will emerge on the Square after being released from prison.
Taking to social media, the fan wrote: “I have a new theory, what if for some reason Kheerat is released from prison and he’s the body? He also used to wear suits with cufflinks a lot.”
A second fan agreed with the potential theory, adding: “My money is on Kheerat.” Kheerat is currently locked up after taking the fall for Suki after Ranveer’s death, but could he get out of jail for Christmas, in a visit to Walford that could cost him his life?
