BBC EastEnders issues Nish Panesar update after attack as fans ‘work out’ third victim

EastEnders viewers are convinced they've figured out a third victim twist after the hit BBC One soap aired a new Christmas death bombshell on Wednesday night

EastEnders fans think they have worked out a third victim twist after the hit BBC One soap aired a new Christmas death bombshell on Wednesday night.

In huge scenes on Christmas Day, Keanu Taylor was killed by Linda Carter after an altercation between him and The Six. It was looking like Nish Panesar would die in shocking scenes when he appeared at the Vic. Goaded by the other women, Suki got Nish to come to the pub where they confronted him and ordered him out of Walford. In a huge confrontation, Denise smashed a Champagne bottle over Nish’s head as he aggressively tried to leave with Suki.

But soon, Keanu arrived and realised what had gone on. Horrified by Sharon Watts stopping him from seeing Albie after she learnt the truth about the kidnap plan and revealed he wasn’t the biological father, he went to strangle her as The Six tried to stop him. Linda grabbed a carving fork and stabbed him in the back, leaving him dead on the floor.

On Tuesday’s episode, The Six decided to bury the body after dragging it across the Square in a sheet of tarpaulin, hiding it in the derelict café following the fire. As a result, the group have decided they need to make a plan – and have been trying to frame an ‘absent’ Keanu for what happened to Nish. Insisting they had nothing to do with the attack, they have planned their cover story to every detail.

However, their secret could be exposed after Wednesday’s episode. During the latest instalment, Suki and her family learnt that Nish was in an induced coma and he ‘can’t talk’ but the doctor insisted it’s ‘not bad news’, adding: “All we can do is wait, we are hopeful the operation will have eased the pressure in time. Your husband is only in an induced coma to help with the swelling on his brain.” If Nish wakes up, will he remember and tell the truth about what really happened on Christmas Day?

Elsewhere, The Six thought their secret was safe until Rocky Cotton, who had attempted to go in the pub on Christmas Day before passing out drunk in Albert Square, dropped a bombshell. Wednesday’s episode ended with Rocky telling estranged partner Kathy Beale: “Kath, I remember what happened and what I saw last night. It was Sharon, I saw Sharon, I think she must be helping Keanu, she was stood outside the café, in her wedding dress, then she went in! Why would she do that, I think she’s hiding something in there, I’m going to find out!”

Soap watchers now think The Six could kill again to keep their secret, especially as Rocky star Brian Conley is set to leave the BBC One soap. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “Either Rocky gonna get set up or he’s the next victim #EastEnders”, a different account put: “They have to kill Rocky now #Eastenders” while another added: “Kathy is gonna have to kill Rocky to stop him discovering the truth @bbceastenders #eastenders.”
