EastEnders fans are convinced Rocky Cotton’s exit storyline has been ‘confirmed’ after last night’s shock death.

Yesterday evening, Keanu Taylor – played by Danny Walters – was murdered by Linda Carter in a shocking turn of events. Nish Panesar arrived at the pub after Suki called him over to confront him over what he’d done to her over the past few months.

Whilst Nish was still breathing when Denise smashed the bottle over his dead, the Six had to find a way to get rid of Keanu’s body, to make it seem like he attacked Nish and then fled Walford for good so he couldn’t be caught by the police.

However, after one of the scenes this evening, some fans are convinced they’ve rumbled Rocky Cotton’s exit storyline. He tried to get into the pub whilst The Six were clearing things up, and whilst Linda managed to fend off the drunken resident, he was also shown watching the group as they headed into the café to dump Keanu’s body.

“Anyone else think Rocky could be the one to go down for all this? Both Alfie and Billy have burned places down in insurance scams before (also with people stuck inside without them knowing) and they’ve both been redeemed, so we already know soapland don’t put arson in the same league as rape or domestic abuse. I think Rocky will be suspicious because he saw Sharon go into the cafe. Also, his fingerprints are all over The Vic’s door and we know Brian Conley is leaving. I think he would do it to protect Kathy,” one wrote.

A second added: “He’s so drunk, he might go into the vic see Nish on the floor and tell Kathy it was him in an attempt to try win her back,” whilst a third wrote: “Not a bad thought when the actor is due to leave.”

Brian Conley confirmed a few months back that he would be leaving EastEnders in the coming weeks and months.

“You might have heard reports that I’m leaving EastEnders and it was a tough decision, but it is true. I am going. I made it for many reasons, that decision, and it is tough because they’re such a wonderful crowd – in front of the cameras and behind the cameras – and I’ve loved my three years there. That’s the truth in the reports,” he shared.

“There’s other parts of the reports saying I clashed with TV bosses and crew. I didn’t clash with anyone, I didn’t have a rant. They’re probably reporting this message now that I’m ranting about ranting, but I’m not ranting. I have gone with their blessings at the Beeb and I’m excited about the future… I’m also excited about Rocky’s exit ‘cause I know its good. I’m sending you much love.”
