Despite the impressive result, the BBC soapstar was admittedly nervous about the dance beforehand. “It was daunting, because I think the song is perfect, so to put my stamp on perfection was scary, but I’m really glad that we did,” he said.

“We were so wrapped up in the moment that it all feels like a blur to be honest,” Dianne added, before praising Bobby for dancing “so well.”

Jeff Brazier later shared a heartfelt message after the performance on Instagram, writing, “To share your grief even to just one person can be a daunting prospect but to express it so movingly in front of millions takes incredible courage so thank you for your inspiration @bobbybrazier!”

The 44-year-old also commended Bobby for encouraging ‘many a conversation about loss’ and providing people with ‘an outlet for the tears they might find hard to release.’ He then thanked Dianne for her unwavering support and professionalism in her mentorship of his eldest son.

Jeff said the song chosen for the routine was not only a tribute to Jade but also a testament to Bobby’s strength and character. Despite the emotional anticipation, he enjoyed watching all the performances and was amazed at Bobby’s talent and creativity.

Before his performance, Bobby shared some touching memories of his mum Jade, who tragically passed away in 2009 at just 27 years old from cervical cancer. He remembered the Big Brother star as a ‘superhero’ and expressed his heartfelt wish: ‘I’d love to spend a day with her to see where I got my smile.’ You can catch It Takes Two on weekdays at 6.30pm on BBC Two, while Strictly Come Dancing continues this weekend.
